He studied under Professor Liu Ping and Professor Yang Bingchu, renowned traditional Chinese medicine experts in Shanghai. He has been engaged in clinical practice, scientific research, and teaching in the field of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for a long time. He was a senior visiting scholar at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, and a mentor for the "Xinglin Rising Star Talent Cultivation Program" in Shanghai. He is also an editorial board member of the World Journal of Gastroenterology. He serves as a council member of the Encephalopathy Branch of the China Nationality Medicine Association, an executive committee member of the Integrative Gastroenterology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, and a committee member of the Encephalopathy Professional Committee and an executive committee member of the Gastroenterology Professional Committee of the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Association, as well as an executive committee member of the Liver Disease Professional Committee of the Shanghai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Association. He has presided over and participated in multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and the Shanghai Health Commission. He has published over 20 papers in national science and technology source journals and SCI-indexed journals.

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, chronic hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic syndrome, and its component diseases (such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and obesity) using integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. He also employs the "strengthening the body resistance to fight cancer" method to treat malignant tumors, reduce the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and prevent recurrence and metastasis.
